A man was allowed allowed to board a plan out of Philadelphia bound for San Francisco on Saturday, despite the fact that he was infected with Tuberculosis and that he had been placed on the “Do Not Board List” by the C.D.C.:
Obviously, the “system” did not work AGAIN. The “lists” that are supposedly used by the TSA and by the Airlines are not being followed. This is getting very dangerous for us, especially if we can’t be protected from highly contagious diseases.
If the TSA and the Airlines were able to focus on those people and things that are truly dangerous, they would not be so overwhelmed and make mistakes in the most obvious ways. With the sophistication of modern day computers, there must be a way to get individuals checked with little time lag. With so much worrying about whether our little bottles exceed the ounce requirement, there is insufficient attention to the most important potential risks.
There needs to be a complete overhaul of this security checkpoint system.
On Sunday, Sue Lowden, the front runner to beat Harry Reid in Senate race in the Fall, made an appearance on Fox News to discuss Harry’s recent blunder:
As Sue ably points out, these recent racial comments are only the most recent gaffs by Harry. His most famous statement was that “the war is lost” while our boys and girls were still fighting in Iraq valiantly. But my favorite comment by Harry was when he said that he was happy that they had built the new Capital visitor center so that he didn’t have to be near the “smelly” visitors. (I’m paraphrasing, but the comment was really that bad.)
Sue Lowden, who leads Harry Reid by 10 points in polls, will also be a guest on Hannity’s radio and television show today.
